String or twine

Allereersdt allemaal bedankt voor de leuke reacties op mijn vorige kaartjes :).
Ik denk dat dit een mannenkaart is ondanks de grote bloem ;). De bloem is een stans van memory Box en heet Quinn Flourish. Ik heb hem eerst in donkerbruin cardstock uigestansd en toen alleen het midden uit een restje mint. Vervolgens heb ik al de kleine mint deeltjes weer terug in de donkerbruine gelegd. Het touwtje is van Rayher en de knoop van Papermania. De tekst heb ik ge-embossed. Deze kaart doet mee aan de uitdaging bij Less is More. xoxoxo

First of all I like to thank everyone for the nice comments on my last cards :).
I think this is a men's card even though it has a large flower on it ;). The flower is Memory Box Quinn Flourish. I first cut it out some dark brown cardstock and then just the centre out of some leftover mint green scraps. Then I put the tiny little mint pieces back in the dark brown one. The string is Rayher and the button Papermania. I embossed the sentiment (Happy birthday). This card is entering the challenge at Less is More. xoxoxo

Nog een cirkel/Another circle

Een snelle blogpost van mij deze stormachtige ochtend. Nog een kaartje gemaakt met dezelfde techniek. De bloemenstempel is van Joy en de vlinders van Inkadinkado. xoxoxo

Bijna 1-laag/Almost one-layer

Dit kaartje gemaakt met mijn splinternieuwe stempels van Stampin Up, Lovely as a tree. Voor de achtergrond heb ik eerst een mal gemaakt door uit een stukje dun cardstock met een nestibilitie een cirkel te snijden. De kaart basis is niet wit maar heel licht creme, daar heb ik het masker opgelegd en toen met behulp van de uitgestanste cirkel de kleurenranden aangebracht. Steeds dezelfde kleur blauw twee of drie keer achter elkaar gebruikt maar doordat je sponst vanaf de cirkel blijf je toch de aparte banen zien. Is dit nog te snappen? Op de achtergrond de boom eerst een keer afgestempeld op wat kopieerpapier en daarna op de kaart zodat ze wat in de achtergrond verdwijnen. Met een witte gelpen sneeuwvlokken getekend en wat sneeuw op de takken van de boom gelegd. Tenslotte de onderkant afgescheurd om een 'sneeuwlaagje' te creëren en op een donmkerblauwe kaart geplakt. Deze kaart doet mee met de challenge bij LIM: Bomen. xoxoxo

This card is made with my brand-new stamps from Stampin Up, Lovely as a tree. For the background I first cut out a circle out of some thin cardstock with a nestabilitie to make a template. The card base is not white but very light creme, I put the template on and with the circle that came out I began sponging the colour layers. Ive used the same colour of blue two or three times in a row but because you're sponging off the circle you keep seeing the layers. Is this making any sense at all? For the trees in the backgrond I first stamped off on a piece of scrap paper so they would fade away in the background. With a white gel-pen I drew some snowflakes and some snow on the branches of the tree. Finally I tear up the bottom of the card to pretend there's a snowlayer there and stuck it on some darkblue cardstock. This card is participating in the challenge over at LIMs: Trees. xoxoxo

Klaprozen/Poppies

Klaprozen vind ik 1 van de mooiste en elegantste bloemen die er zijn en daarom wilde ik ook graag deze stempel hebben van Clearly Besotted. Het idee voor het kaartje heb ik van Pinterest. De achtergrondstempels zijn van Clearly Besotted (stippels) en Artemio (tekst). De klaprozen zijn ingekleurd met Copics. Het kleine labeltje heb ik zelf geknipt en het nog kleinere tekstje 'Hello' is ook weer van Clearly Besotted. Tot slot nog een touwtje uit mijn voorraad en twee tegenovergestelde hoekjes afgerond. xoxoxo

I think poppies are one of the most beautiful and elegant flowers that there is and that's why I wanted this stamp from Clearly Besotted. The idea for the card came from Pinterest. Backgroundstamps are Clearly Besotted (dots) and Artemio (script). The poppies are coloured with Copics. The little label I cut out myself and the tiny sentiment 'Hello' is from Clearly Besotted again. Finally I put some bakers twine from my stash on it and rounded two opposite corners. xoxoxo

Van Harte beterschap/Feel better soon

Bij CAS on Sunday moet deze keer een beterschapskaart worden gemaakt. Ik dacht wat vrolijke kleurtjes te gebruiken om de zieke op te vrolijken. Ik heb van kopieerpapier twee stukken afgescheurd en deze gebruikt als masker om de kleurtjes op 1 plek te houden en ook een stukje afgescheurd waarlangs ik heb gesponsd met de verschillende kleuren. Allemaal Cat-eye inkt behalve de bovenste lichtrose, dat is Distress inkt. De bloemensilhouette stempel is van Joy en de tekst van Studio Light. Heb het witte cardstock nu eens wat uit het midden links tegen de kant geplaatst. Nog wat pareltjes en klaar want het moest wel CAS blijven. xoxoxo

At CAS on Sunday you have to make a Get well card. I thought I use some happy colours to brighten up te day of the sick person. I've torned up some copy paper and used it as a mask for my coloured part and also tear a peace for sponging the different colours. All Cat-eye ink accept the top light pink, that's Distress ink. The flower silhouette stamp is Joy and the sentiment is Studio Light. Put the vocal point out of the middle to the left. Some white pearls and ready because it had to stay CAS. xoxoxo

Witte kerst/White Christmas

De opdracht bij LIM deze keer een wit op witte kaart en het thema moet kerst zijn. Ik hoop dat deze mee mag doen want onder de kerstbal zit een klein blauw papier maar wel met witte stippen, dat dan weer wel :). De rand is een stans van Memory Box, Pine Needle Border, en het was een hele toer om die goed vast te lijmen met al die dunne takjes. De kerstbal en de strik zijn ook van Memory Box nml. Snowflake ornament en Sweet ribbon. Op de bovenkant van de kerstbal nog wat witte glitter gedaan en toen was hij klaar. Ik heb er nog twee gemaakt met wat meer kleur. Ik benieuwd welke jullie het mooist vinden, of misschien vinden jullie het alle drie wel niks, dat kan ook ;). xoxoxo

The challenge at LIM: a white on white card and the theme is Christmas. I hope this one qualifies because there's a little blue paper underneath the ornament, but it's blue with white dots, so that's oke I think :). The border is Memory Box, Pine Needle Border, and it was a not easy to glue down with all those fine needles. The Christmas ornament and the bow are Memory Box also, Snowflake ornament and Sweet ribbon. On the top of the ornament I put some white glitter and then it was finished. I made two other cards with some more colour in them. Im curious which one you prefer, or that's also a possibilty, maybe you don't like either of them ;). xoxoxo

Ik heb een nieuwe stempel gebruikt die ik pas heb besteld in de VS! De stempel is van Papertrey Ink en is uit een serie: A year of flowers, November Mums. Gestempeld in Versamark en dan met witte embossingpoeder verhit. Daarna gesponsd met drie kleuren Distress inkt: Fired Brick, Barn Door en Spun Sugar. De cirkel is uitgesneden met een nestabilitie en ook de embossingrand is een nestie. De tekst is van Nicole Verkooijen. Ik heb de foto buiten genomen, i.p.v. het kaartje in te scannen, omdat je dan de embossing beter ziet maar nu valt er wel een schaduw over helaas :(. xoxoxo

I've used a new stamp I recently ordered in the USA! Stamp isPapertrey Ink and is from a series called: A year of flowers, November Mums. Stamped with Versamark and heat-embossed in white. Then sponged with 3 colours Distress ink:Fired Brick, Barn Door and Spun Sugar. Circle is cut with a nestabilitie, the embossed edge is also done with a nestie. Sentiment(get better soon)is Nicole Verkooijen. I've taken a pic outside, instead of scanning the card, because then you can see the embossing better but now there is a shadow over the card :(. xoxoxo

Chloe Stem

Deze keer een kaartje gemaakt met de stans van Memory Box, Chloe Stem. De achtergrond is gesponsd met 2 kleuren Hero Arts Mid-tone inkt, Red Royal en Orange soda. Verder op de achtergrond een letterscript stempel van Clearly Besotted en een druppelstempel van Art Journey. De tekst is van Nicole Verkooijen en nog een paar strass steentjes uit mijn voorraad. Fijn weekend allemaal, en geniet van het mooie herfstweer! xoxoxo

This time I've made a card with Memory Box, Chloe Stem. Background is sponged with two colours Hero Arts mid-tone ink, Red Royal and Orange soda. Also in the background a script background stamp of Clearly Besotted and a raindrop stamp of Art Journey. The sentiment )Happy birthday) is Nicole Verkooijen and a gew rhine stones from my stash. Kaart voor mijn zwager/Card for my brother-in-law

Deze kaart gemaakt voor mijn zwager die vorige week jarig was, ik had hem nog niet geplaatst. Het dp is van First Edition, Blank Canvas. Een stempel van Inkadinkado met een paar strass steentjes. Een kleine bloem moet kunnen vind ik op een mannenkaart. Voor de rest vrij rustig gehouden. xoxoxo

This is the card I've made for my brother-in-law's birthday last week, I didn't post it yet. The dp is First Edition, Blank Canvas. Stamp is Inkadinkado with a few rhine stones. A little flower like this can be there on a men's card I think. Further kept it pretty simple. xoxoxo

Cas on Sunday...Baby

Voor de Cas on Sunday challenge, een babykaart, of eigenlijk twee want je weet nooit wat het wordt hè ;). De lieve stempel is van StampingBack, verder heb ik een EK Succes pons gebruikt, een lintje uit mijn voorraad en een tekst van PSX. xoxoxo

For the Cas on Sunday challenge here is my baby card, or two, because you never know what it's going to be ;). The sweet stamp is StampingBack, and I've used an EK Succes punch, ribbon from my stash and a sentiment from PSX. xoxoxo

Joseph's coat

Dit herfstkaartje gemaakt met de Joseph's coat techniek waarbij eerst de achtergrond word gesponsd, vervolgens stempel je je afbeelding met Versamark en clear embossingpoeder en ga je er als dat is gedroogd met een donkere kleur inkt over. De ondergrond ligt dan heel mooi op. De stempels die ik heb gebruikt zijn van Clearly Besotted. Het cardstock is ge-embossed met een Herringbone embossingfolder van ProvoCraft. Ik heb er nog een kaartje mee gemaakt voor een totaal andere gelegenheid:

This Atumn card is made with the Joseph's coat technique, where you have to sponge your background, then stamp your image with Versamark and clear embossing powder. Let it dry and then go over the whole card with a darker ink, and the background stands out beautifuly. Stamps I've used are Clearly Besotted and the cardstock is embossed with an embossingfolder of ProvoCraft, Herringbone. I've made another card with it for a totally different occasion:

Kleurig/Colourful

Nogmaals een achtergrond gemaakt met Distress inkt en water. Ook wat druppels inkt erop gespetterd. De stempel is van Penny black en daar heb ik nog wat glitter aan toegevoegd evenals 3 roze parels. Gemat op wit en dan weer op zwart, om vervolgens het geheel verhoogd op te plakken op een witte kaart met een tekst van Marianne Design. Ik vind het een fleurig kaartje :). xoxoxo

Had another go with Distress ink and water for the background. Also splashed some drops of ink on it. Stamp is Penny Black and I put some glitter on the tiny flowers and some pink pearls in the middle. Matted everything on white and then black, put some 3D foam underneath it and stuck it all on some white cardstock with a sentiment of Marianne Design (Congratulations). I think it's a colourful card :). xoxoxo

Sam

Sam is donderdagavond geboren en heeft geen broertjes of zusjes. Hij is bestemd voor mijn oudste dochter en haar echtgenoot. Sam is ook de reden dat ik van de week nog niet zoveel heb gereageerd bij iedereen maar dat zullen jullie nu wel snappen ;). Fijn weekend! xoxoxo

Sam was born Thursday evening and doesn't have any brothers or sisters. He's going to live with my oldest daughter and her husband when he is old enough. Sam is also the reason I haven't been around much last week but I think you can all understand why now ;). Have a great weekend! xoxoxo

Bloemen/Flowers

Voor deze kaart heb ik stempels gebruikt van Hero Arts (bladeren) en Clearly Besotted You Are (bloemen). De bloemen zijn uitgesneden met de stanzen ook van Clearly Besotted en de tekst is van Marianne Design. Links een stukje cardstock en daar met een witte gelpen de geschulpte rand nagetrokken. Fijne zondag allemaal! xoxoxo

For this card I've used stamps of Hero Arts (leaves) and Clearly Besotted You Are(flowers). The flowers are cut with dies from Clearly Besotted also, and the sentiment (Congrats) is Marianne Design. On the left a scrap of cardstock, and I follwed the scallop border with a white gelly pen. Have a nice Sunday everyone! xoxoxo

Aquarel en rubber/Watercolour and rubber

Deze week bij LIM de challenge om aquarelkleuren en rubberen stempels te gebruiken. Ik heb stempels gekozen van StampingBack en heb getracht om met Distress inkt en water op aquarelpapier een soort van schilderijtje te maken. Langs de met Memento tuxedo black afgedrukte stempels heb ik met een witte fineliner hier en daar nog wat accenten aangebracht. xoxoxo

This week at LIM the challenge of watercolour and use of rubber stamps. I've chosen the stamps of StampingBack and tried to make a little painting with Distress ink and water on some watercolour paper. Along the with Memento tuxedo black stamped images I drew a line here and there with a white fineliner. xoxoxo
