Addicted to CAS

Bij Addicted to Cas vragen ze om een verjaardagskaart en die maken we natuurlijk allemaal genoeg dus dat was niet moeilijk ;). Ik heb cremekleurig cardstock genomen en papier van My Minds Eye, Stella Rose Mabel. De swirl-stempel is van Marianne Design en de tekst van Daisy Buckett. De bloem heb ik gemaakt met behulp van twee stanzen van Memory Box. Tot slot nog drie strass steentjes. xoxoxo

At Addicted to CAS the challenge is 'a birthday card' and of course we're all making plenty of those so that's not very difficult ;). I ve used creme cardstock and papers are My Minds Eye, Stella Rose Mabel. Swirl stamp is Marianne Design and the sentiment is Daisy Buckett. The flower is made using two memory Box dies. Vlinders/Butterflies

Wat een weer meiden, het lijkt wel herfst. We hebben in ieder geval wel lang plezier van onze winterjas ;). Vlinders zie ik nog niet veel buiten, dus heb ik zelf binnen gemaakt. Zowel de achtergrondstempel als de vlinders zijn van Clearly Besotted Stamps. De vlinders zijn ook uitgesneden met een stans van Clearly Besotted. Het papier had ik nog ergens liggen en kwam ik tegen toen ik mijn spulletjes aan het uitzoeken was. De embossingfolder is van de Boekenvoordeel. xoxoxo

The weather is aweful over here in the Netherlands, it seems like Autumn. We're having long time fun of our winter coat ;). Butterflies are not yet to been seen outside, so I made them myself inside. The background stamp as well as the butterflies are from Clearly Besotted Stamps. The butterflies are also cut out with a die from Clearly Besotted. Papers are of unknown make and I ran into them when I was cleaning out my stash. Embossing folder is from a cheap warehouse. xoxoxo

Hond en/of kat\\Dog and/or cat

Weer een leuke challenge bij LIM, ik heb drie katten en een hond dus natuurlijk heb ik er ook stempels van ;). De kat is een stempel van Technique Tuesday en ik vind hem super. Het papier en de washitape zijn van de Action, en de prachtige krullen onderaan zijn een stans van Memory Box. De krullen doen me denken aan wat een kat achter laat nadat hij zijn nagels even heeft gescherpt, en het past goed bij zijn staartje. De tekst is van Pink Cat Studio. De hoekjes onderaan heb ik afgerond met een pons. xoxoxo

Another very nice challenge at LIM, I have three cats and a dog so of course I also own some stamps of them ;). The cat is a stamp from Technique Tuesday and I think it's so great. Paper and washi tape is from a cheap warehouse, and the beautiful curls at the bottom are a die from Memory Box. The curls remind me of the mess the cat leaves after he scratched his nails, and it suits the curl in his little tail. Sentiment is Pink Cat Studio. The corners at the bottom are rounded with a punch. xoxoxo

Pastel

Ik heb nog een kaartje gemaakt voor de CAS on Sunday challenge met een oudere sketch van het Clean&Simple challengeblog. Toevallig heb ik 2 weken geleden wat cat-eye inkt gekocht allemaal in pastelkleurtjes dus die kon ik mooi gebruiken. Ik heb de strookjes gemaakt door het witte cardstock af te plakken met post-it papiertjes en daarna de kleurtjes gesponsd. De stempel die ik heb gebruikt is een randje van de Action ;). De tekst is van StampingBack. Fijn Pinksterweekend allemaal! xoxoxo

I've made an other card for the challenge at Cas on Sunday with an old sketch from Clean&Simple challenges. As it happens I bought a few pastel inks from Cat-eye a couple of weeks ago, so this was a good time to put them to use. I've made the small rectangles by masking the white cardstock with post-it notes and then sponged them. The flowers inside is a cheap stamp from a big warehouse. Sentiment is StampingBack and says: hip hip hurray. Hope you all have a great Whit Sunday! xoxoxo

Tweede kaart voor LIM/Second entry for LIM

Leuk hoe een challenge je soms uit je 'comfort-zone' weet te halen, zoals mij nu gebeurde bij de laatste LIM challenge. Bij de dames die ook mee doen zag ik dat je best met kleurpoloden op een gekleurde achtergrond kan kleuren, nooit aangedacht! Dus vanmorgen maar eens even geprobeerd met wederom een stempel van Penny Black van dezelfde set: Blooming garden. Deze keer ingekleurd met Derwent potloden en met de hand een doodle-lijntje met een fine-liner eromheen getrokken. Bij Cas on Sunday hebben ze deze keer een een challenge voor pastelkleuren, ik denk dat deze kaart hier wel aan voldoet. xoxoxo

It's funny how a challenge can pull you out of your comfort-zone, like LIM did this week with me. I saw entries where ladies have coloured with pencils on a coloured background, never thought that was even possible! So this morning I tried myself on some yellow cardstock with again a Penny Black stamp from that same set: Blooming garden. This time I coloured the image with Derwent pencils and hand doodled a black line with a fineliner. At CAS on Sunday there's a challenge running for pastel colours, I think this card qualifies. xoxoxo

Coloured card blank

Deze kaart gemaakt voor de 1-laags uitdaging bij LIM. Met coloured card blank bedoelen ze dat je geen wit cardstock mag gebruiken deze keer. Ik heb gekozen voor roze omdat ik de klaprozenstempel van Penny Black wilde gebruiken. Ik vind hem zo mooi en toch heb ik hem nog niet 1 keer gebruikt. Hoog tijd dus ;). Ik heb eerst de achtergrond gesponsd met 2 kleuren groen en 2 kleuren rose/rood en toen pas de stempel erop gezet. De tekststempel is van Nicole Verkooijen. Een snel kaartje maar ik vind hem toch wel heel leuk. xoxoxo

This card is made for the one-layer challenge at LIM's. You can't use white cardstock this time so I chose pink because I wanted to use the Penny Black poppy stamp I have for a while now and which has never been used before. I think this stamp is so beautiful, so high time to use it ;). First I sponged the background with 2 colours of green and 2 colours of pink/red and then stamped the image. The sentiment says: Get well. A rather quick card but I think it turned out oke. xoxoxo

Cas on Sunday/Make my Monday

Een kaartje gemaakt voor twee leuke challengeblogs die ik van de week heb ontdekt. Eerst een takje gestempeld op de witte achtergrond met een stempel van Hero Arts en het geheel daarna door de Cuttlebug gehaald. De vlinder is weer van Clearly Besotted Stamps, ik vind ze zo leuk :). Ik had eerst het idee een bloem op de tak te doen maar nadat ik er twee had gemaakt en afgekeurd ben ik toch weer gezwicht voor de vlinder. De hoekjes afgerond en nog wat strass steentjes op de vlinder. De tekst is van StampingBack. Het kaartje doet mee aan de challenge bij:

Made a card for two very nice challenge blogs I discovered this week. First stamped leaves (Hero Arts) on white linnen cardstock and then put it through the Cuttlebug. Butterfly is from Clearly Besotted Stamps again, I love those stamps :). First I had the idea to put a flower at the end of the leaves but after I made two different ones and disapproved both, I caved to the butterfly. Rounded the corners and put some rhine stones on the butterfly. Sentiment is StampingBack and says: wholeheartedly. This card enters the challenges at:

Drie lagen/Three layers

Deze techniek zag ik vorige week ergens op internet en ik vond het zo gaaf dat ik het ook wilde proberen. Het lijkt alsof de stempel in 1 keer over drie kleurlagen is gestempeld maar dat is niet zo, want zoals elke stempelaar weet gaat dat niet zo goed door het hoogteverschil. Elke laag is apart gestempeld en daarna met beleid gescheurd en netjes aansluitend opgeplakt. De stempel van Joanna Sheen is in het witte gedeelte ingekleurd met Copics. Ik vind het zo'n leuk effect en het was ontzettend leuk om te maken, ik ben benieuwd wat jullie er van vinden ;). xoxoxo

This technique I saw on the net somewhere last week and I thought it was so cool I wanted to give it a go too. It seems like the flower is stamped over the three layers in one time but that isn't the case because like every stamping girl knows the difference in hights will not allow you to do that right. Every layer is stamped seperately and then torn very carefully and stuck down joining the image. The stamp (Joanna Sheen) is coloured with Copics. I think this looks so great and it was so much fun making it, I'm curious to find out what you think ;). xoxoxo

Tegenovergestelde kleuren/ Opposite colours

Dit kaartje is gemaakt met een sketch van Freshly Made sketches en met twee kleuren uit het kleurenwiel van LIM nml. oranjegeel en blauwviolet, en natuurlijk doet het met beide challenges mee :). De swirls op de achtergrond zijn een stempel van Unity en de vlinders zijn van Clearly Besotted Stamps. Strass-steentjes uit mijn voorraad. Verder is er niet zoveel over te vertellen want het is een vrij simpel kaartje. Fijn weekend allemaal! xoxoxo

This card is made using a sketch from Freshly made sketches and with two colours out of the colour wheel on LIM namely, orange-yellow and blue-violet, and of course it's participating in both challenges :). Swirls on the background are a Unity stamp and the butterflies are Clearly Besotted Stamps. Rhine stones from my stash. Sketch

Deze week bij LIM een heel eenvoudige sketch. Ik heb het ook eenvoudig gehouden, een mal gemaakt zodat ik kon sponzen, met een uitsparing voor de tekst van Marianne Design. Het silhouet bloemetje is een stans van Joy. xoxoxo

This week at LIM's a simple sketch. I kept it simple too, cut a template so I could sponge, left a space so I could put the sentiment from Marianne Design there. The silhouette flower is a die from Joy. xoxoxo

Pfff, ik kan het nog/Pfff, I can still do it

In tegenstelling tot mijn vorige kaartje ben ik over deze dan weer wel heel tevreden :). Ik heb al eerder dit modelletje gebruikt, voor een kerstkaart. De twee rondjes zijn gemaakt met behulp van Nestabilities en de bloemenstempels zijn van Mandy Stempels en Scrappy Cat (het kleintje) en de blaadjes van Hero Arts. De vlinder is een stempel van Marianne Design, en de tekst is weer van Mandy Stempels. xoxoxo

Unlike my previous card, I really like this card :). I've used this shape of card before on a Christmas card. The two circles are made with Nestabilities and the flower stamps are from Mandy Stamps and Scrappy Cat (the small one) and the leaves are Hero Arts. Butterfly is Marianne Design, and the sentiment, which says: Have a very nice day, is Mandy Stamps again. xoxoxo

Mislukt/Failed

Meestal zet ik mijn mislukkingen niet op mijn blog maar hier heb ik zo veel werk aan gehad dat ik hem toch wilde laten zien. Het kaartje was bedoeld voor de uitdaging bij LIM. Ik vond het zo'n leuk idee, die letters. Het begon er al mee dat ik dacht dat ik een alfabet had maar dat is van Quickutz en er zitten twee letters op een stans dus uitstansen ging al niet. Toen heb ik de letters zelf getekend en uitgeknipt maar dat is natuurlijk nooit zo netjes. In eerste instantie had ik er een dubbele witte kaart van gemaakt maar toch zinde dat me niet dus toen heb ik een pons van Martha Stewart gebruikt, rain drop en daar de bovenste rand van afgeknipt en vervolgens op donkerroze cardstock geplakt. Het ponsen ging niet netjes en ook het afknippen van de rand niet, kortom deze gaat de vuilnisbak in! xoxoxo

Usually I don't put my failures on my blog but I've put so much effort in this one that I still wanted to show you. The card was made for the LIM challenge. I liked the idea of the letters so much. It all started to go wrong when I thought I had an alfabeth but it's Quickutz and there are two letters on one die so I couldn't cut them out that way. Than I decided to draw and cut them out by hand but that's not as neat as using a die. First I made the card to be only white but I didn't like that at all so I grabbed a Martha Stewart punch, rain drop, and cut of the top and than put it on some dark pink cardstock. The punching didn't go well just like the cutting so this card will end up in the bin!

Kleurrijk/Colourful

Eerst een woord van welkom aan mijn nieuwe volgers. Gezellig dat jullie er bij zijn gekomen :)
Deze kaart heb ik een poosje terug gemaakt voor de scallop challenge bij LIM maar naarmate de kaart vorderde werd hij steeds minder Less is More ;) De achtergrond bestaat uit verschillende kleuren cardstock en de bloemen (Inkadinkado) zijn er op geëmbossed met witte embossingpoeder. De tekst is van Papertrey Ink. Deze kaart doet mee aan de challenge bij Addicted to CAS.

This card I made a while back for the challenge at LIM, but as the card came together it turned out to be much more than less, if you know what I mean ;) The background is made with different colours of cardstock and the flowers (Inkadinkado) are embossed with white embossing powder. Sentiment is Papertrey Ink. This card enters the challenge at Addicted to CAS.

Ik heb een paar dagen niet gereageerd op jullie nieuwste creaties, sorry daarvoor maar wij zijn 5 dagen naar Praag geweest, dat was erg leuk :) Wat een prachtige stad!

I didn't give any comment to all your creations last week, I'm very sorry about that, but we went away for a 5 day city trip to Prague, it was so much fun :) What a beautiful city!

Dutch Card Lovers

Zelf je achtergrond maken en geen designpapier gebruiken, daar gaat het om bij DCL. Toevallig heb ik een week of 2 geleden een filmpje gezien waarbij ze zelf een hele achtergrond maakten dus dat kwam mooi uit ;). Ik heb een heleboel stempels gebruikt hiervoor nml. Clearly Besotted Stamps (de stippeltjes en de tekst), Kanban (het halve lichtblauwe cirkeltje rechtsboven), Stampology (de tak), Papertrey Ink ( de besjes en de bloem) en Mandy Stempels (de tekst). Rechts nog een randje gemaakt met een pons van Martha Stewart Scallop Dot. Zowel op de besjes als in het hartje van de bloem heb ik wat glitter gedaan. xoxoxo

Make your own background and not using any designer papers, that's the challenge at DCL. By coincidence I watched a video about making your own background a week or 2 ago so that came in handy ;). I've used a lot of stamps to make this card, Clearly Besotted Stamps (polka dots and script), Kanban (half light blue circle at the top right), Stampology (the branch), Papertrey Ink (the berries and the flower) and Mandy Stamps (the sentiment that says: Have a very fine day). On the right there is an edge I made using a punch of Martha Stewart Scallop Dot. I also put some glitter on the berries and in the heart of the flower. xoxoxo

Lime en zwart/Lime and black

Een kleurenchallenge deze week bij LIM. Ik wist niet zeker of het zou gaan werken bij de roos (Clearly Besotted Stamps) maar ik vind het toch heel gaaf geworden. Het 'traliewerk' heb ik gemaakt met behulp van een pons van Martha Stewart, Lattice. De tekst is van Daisy Buckett. xoxoxo
