Kleurig/Colourful

Nogmaals een achtergrond gemaakt met Distress inkt en water. Ook wat druppels inkt erop gespetterd. De stempel is van Penny black en daar heb ik nog wat glitter aan toegevoegd evenals 3 roze parels. Gemat op wit en dan weer op zwart, om vervolgens het geheel verhoogd op te plakken op een witte kaart met een tekst van Marianne Design. Ik vind het een fleurig kaartje :). xoxoxo

Had another go with Distress ink and water for the background. Also splashed some drops of ink on it. Stamp is Penny Black and I put some glitter on the tiny flowers and some pink pearls in the middle. Matted everything on white and then black, put some 3D foam underneath it and stuck it all on some white cardstock with a sentiment of Marianne Design (Congratulations). I think it's a colourful card :). xoxoxo

Sam

Sam is donderdagavond geboren en heeft geen broertjes of zusjes. Hij is bestemd voor mijn oudste dochter en haar echtgenoot. Sam is ook de reden dat ik van de week nog niet zoveel heb gereageerd bij iedereen maar dat zullen jullie nu wel snappen ;). Fijn weekend! xoxoxo

Sam was born Thursday evening and doesn't have any brothers or sisters. He's going to live with my oldest daughter and her husband when he is old enough. Sam is also the reason I haven't been around much last week but I think you can all understand why now ;). Have a great weekend! xoxoxo

Bloemen/Flowers

Voor deze kaart heb ik stempels gebruikt van Hero Arts (bladeren) en Clearly Besotted You Are (bloemen). De bloemen zijn uitgesneden met de stanzen ook van Clearly Besotted en de tekst is van Marianne Design. Links een stukje cardstock en daar met een witte gelpen de geschulpte rand nagetrokken. Fijne zondag allemaal! xoxoxo

For this card I've used stamps of Hero Arts (leaves) and Clearly Besotted You Are(flowers). The flowers are cut with dies from Clearly Besotted also, and the sentiment (Congrats) is Marianne Design. On the left a scrap of cardstock, and I follwed the scallop border with a white gelly pen. Have a nice Sunday everyone! xoxoxo

Aquarel en rubber/Watercolour and rubber

Deze week bij LIM de challenge om aquarelkleuren en rubberen stempels te gebruiken. Ik heb stempels gekozen van StampingBack en heb getracht om met Distress inkt en water op aquarelpapier een soort van schilderijtje te maken. Langs de met Memento tuxedo black afgedrukte stempels heb ik met een witte fineliner hier en daar nog wat accenten aangebracht. xoxoxo

This week at LIM the challenge of watercolour and use of rubber stamps. I've chosen the stamps of StampingBack and tried to make a little painting with Distress ink and water on some watercolour paper. Along the with Memento tuxedo black stamped images I drew a line here and there with a white fineliner. xoxoxo

Positief en negatief/Positive and negative

Nadat ik vorige week een filmje had gezien van Jennifer McGuire wilde ik deze techniek ook een keertje uitproberen :). Op de ene kaart heb ik allemaal reepjes van verschillende kleuren cardstock geplakt en daarna met een stans van Memory Box Lorelei leaf uitgesneden. Op de andere kaart heb ik met dezelfde stans gesneden maar dan in het wit, daarna leg je de 'onderdelen' weer terug in het uitgestanste gedeelte maar wissel je de kleuren om. Als je dus over de kaart wrijft is hij glad, je voelt geen diepte en geen verhogingen. Ik vond het een heel leuk effect en ook leuk om te doen, al is het wel oppassen met de hele kleine deeltjes, je bent ze zo kwijt. De tekst stans is van Marianne Design. xoxoxo

After I've seen a video from Jennifer McGuire last week, I wanted to try this technique too :). On one card I've stuck some different colour cardstock and then cut the branch out with a Memory Box die called Lorelei Leaf. On the other card I've used the same die but cut it out white cardstock, then you put everything back together but change the colours. if you rubb over the card it's surface is smooth, you don't feel any depth or dimention. I thought it was a great effect and also fun to make, allthough you have to be very carefull with the small cut out parts, you can make them lost in a flash. The (dutch)sentiment die is Marianne Design. xoxoxo

Ik zie net dat ik te laat ben voor de challenge bij Clearly Besotted maar ik wilde toch even de kaart laten zien die ik had gemaakt. De vlinders zijn een stans van Clearly Besotted, Butterfly wishes. xoxoxo

Baby

Deze twee kaartjes gemaakt naar een voorbeeld wat ik zag op Pinterest. Erg leuk om te maken. Het eendje is gemaakt met behulp van cirkelponsen. Het lijfje is een grotere cirkel pons dan het hoofdje, en het hapje dat ik er aan de bovenkant met dezelfde pons heb uitgehaald, heb ik weer gebruikt als vleugeltje. Voor de rest weer eens DP-papier gebruikt en doily lace randpons van Martha Stewart en natuurlijk nestabilities van Spellbinders. Achtergrond is gemaakt met de embossingfolder Swiss dots.
En dan nog iets leuks, ik ben uitgekozen als winnaar bij: http://cutscropscreativity.com/2013/08/iron-craft-25th-episode-winners-and-more/ en mag een stampset uitzoeken bij Clearly Besotted, hoe leuk is dat :) xoxoxo

These two cards I've made after seeing an example on Pinterest. So much fun to make. The little duck is made with help of circle punches. The body of the duck is a bigger circle punch than the little head, and the bit I punched out at he top of the body I've used as a little wing. Further I've used some DP paper and the Martha Stewart Doily lace border punch and of course some nestabilities from Spellbinders. Background is embossing folder Swiss dots.
And then something else, I was picked to be a winner at http://cutscropscreativity.com/2013/08/iron-craft-25th-episode-winners-and-more/, I can pick any stampset of my choice from Clearly Besotted, is that awesome or what :) xoxoxo

Seizoenen/Seasons

Het thema bij LIM is 'round and round', iets wat altijd beweegt of door blijft gaan. Bij mij kwam gelijk het doorgaan van de seizoenen in mijn hoofd op, die blijven immers ook altijd doorgaan jaar na jaar. Voor de lente heb ik groen gekozen, de zomer rood, de herfst oranje (mijn favoriete jaargetijde) en voor de winter blauwgrijs. Het cardstock is ge-embossed met Swiss dots. De kleine bloemenstempel is van Scrappy-cat en de grote, die met witte embossingpoeder is ge-embossed, is van Inkadinkado. xoxoxo

The theme at LIM is 'round and round', something that moves or will keep going on. In my head imeadiately I saw the seasons of the year come by, those keep going on year after year, don't they. For Spring I chose green, for Summer red, Autumn orange (my favorite time) and Winter a blue grey. The white cardstock is embossed with Swiss dots. The little flower stamp is Scrappy-cat, and the big one, which is embossed with white embossing powder, is Inkadinkado. xoxoxo

Met oprechte deelneming/With sympathy

Ik vond de techniek van het vorige kaartje zo leuk om te doen dat ik er nog eentje heb gemaakt. Hier heb ik de Distress kleuren, Shabby shutters, Mosterd seed en Shaded lilac gebruikt, met daaroverheen een tipje Tea dye hier en daar. Vervolgens heb ik gestempeld met herfstbladstempels van Hero Arts, Poetic Prints Real Leaves. Deze zijn gestempeld met Hero Arts mid-tone inkt kleuren: Field green, Orange soda en Cornflower. Met een ander blaadje uit dezelfde stempelset (deze set bestaat uit 4 blaadjes) wit ge-embossed. De tekst is van Nicole Verkooijen. Het geheel gemat op donkerblauwe cardstock. xoxoxo

I liked the techinc from the last card so much that I made another one. On this card I've used the Distress colours, Shabby shutters, Mosterd seed and Shaded lilac, with a tip of Tea dye here and there. Next I stamped with Hero Arts stamps, Poetic Prints Real Leaves. Over twee weken wordt mijn schoonzus 49, dus daar heb ik dit kaartje voor gemaakt. De challenge bij LIM deze week is voor nummers/cijfers en een 1-laag kaart, dan kom ik altijd al gauw uit bij maskeren dus dat heb ik dan ook gedaan. Ik heb een stuk afgeplakt en ben toen gaan blenden met distress inkt: Barn red, Spun sugar en Mustard seed, daarna heb ik mijn stempel van Chocolate Baroque afgedrukt met Hero Arts Mid-tone inkt: Red royal, Orange soda en Bubble gum. Vervolgens een nachtje laten drogen en dan nog een keer gestempeld met Versamark en geëmbossed met wit. xoxoxo

In about two weeks it's my sister-in-law's 49th birthday, so I made this card for her. The challenge at LIM is for numbers and one-layer, with one-layer I often find myself masking, so also did it this time. I put some post-it notes against a line on the paper and then started blending with distress inks: Barn red, Spun sugar and Mustard seed, after that I stamped with a Chocolate Baroque stamp and Hero Arts mid-tone ink: Red royal, Orange soda and Bubble gum. Let it dry overnight and then stamped again with Versamark and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. xoxoxo

Kleuren challenge/Colour challenge

Zoals jullie wellicht al hadden begrepen ben ik op vakantie geweest. We hebben een fijne zonnige vakantie gehad in de franse alpen en we zijn nu ongeveer een weekje thuis. Deze week was voor mij gevuld met wassen, strijken, caravan uitpoetsen en weer aan het werk gaan dus ik had het even te druk voor kaartjes maar hier is er dan weer één. Het is gemaakt voor de kleuren challenge bij LIM. De chevrons zijn gemaakt met een stans van Dynamics en de tekst is van Daisy Buckett. Een vrij eenvoudig (mannen)kaartje maar ja, daar draait het allemaal om hè bij LIM. De scanner heeft het grijs een beetje blauwig gemaakt maar ik kan jullie verzekeren dat het echt grijs is ;). xoxoxo

As you've probaly all have guessed I've been away for our summer holiday. We had a lovely vacation in the French alps and we're now home for a week or so, but for me this week was filled with, washing, ironing, cleaning our caravan and starting work again so I was to busy for making cards but I made one yesterday. The card is made for the colour challenge at LIM's. The chevrons are made using a die from Dynamics and the sentiment is Daisy Buckett. It's a pretty simple (male)card but that's what it's all about at LIM's isn't it. The scanner made the grey a bit blue but I can assure you that it really is grey ;). xoxoxo

Grijze tinten/Shades of grey

Grijze tinten bij LIM deze week, gelukkig geen vijftig, ik ben tot 4 gekomen :). De vierkantjes zijn bestempeld met achtergrondstempels van Clearly Besotted en ieder in een andere tint grijs. De chevrons in Cat-eye sky grey, de tekst in Color Box silver grey en de stippeltjes met Versafine smokey grey. Het cardstock is weer een andere tint grijs. De vlinder is van Martha Stewart en de blaadjes van Crealies. xoxoxo

Shades of grey this at LIM, fortunatly no fifty shades, I only came to 4 :). The squares are stamped with background stamps of Clearly Besotted and all stamped with a different shade of grey. Chevrons in Cat-eye sky grey, the words in Color Box silver grey and the dots with Versafine smokey grey. The cardstock is a whole other shade of grey too. Butterfly is Martha Stewart and the leaves are a Crealies die. xoxoxo

Nog één/Another one

Voor dezelfde bruiloft als waar ik een paar dagen terug een kaart voor heb gemaakt kreeg ik de opdracht om nog een kaartje te maken. Wederom ben ik bij hun kleuren van de uitnodiging gebleven: paars en grijs, toch is het een heel andere kaart geworden. De harten zijn uitgestanst met een stans van Nellie Snellen MFD 022 en daarna bestempeld met swirls van MD en Versamark en geëmbossed met zilverpoeder. Ik heb ze daarna op zilverkleurig papier geplakt en uitgeknipt. Het lintje is uit mijn voorraad en de tekststempel is van PSX. xoxoxo

For the same wedding that I've made a card for a few days ago I got the order to make one again. And again I stayed with the colours of their invitation: purple and grey, but still it's a whole different kind of card. The hearts are cut out with a die from Nellie Snellen MFD 022 and then stamped with swirls from MD and Versamark, and embossed with silver powder. I've stuck them to a piece of silver paper and cut them out again. The ribbon is from my stash and the sentiment that says: Congratulations is PSX. xoxoxo

Zand/Sand

Ik kan haast niet geloven dat ik een one-layer kaart heb gemaakt terwijl ze er niet eens om vroegen bij LIM, maar op de een of andere manier deed het onderwerp, zand, dat wel ;). De zee, de lucht en het zand zijn gesponst met memento inkt, het zand speciaal met Memento Desert Sand. De struik en het gras zijn stempels van Chocolate Baroque en de zeester van Viva Decor. Achteraf denk ik dat ik een volgende keer de zeester weg zou laten. xoxoxo

Can't believe that I've made a one-layer card even though it wasn't even required this week at LIM's, but somehow the subject, sand, seems to be asking for it. The sea, the sky and the sand have been sponged with Memento ink, and the sand especially with Memento Desert Sand. The bush and the grasses are Chocolate Baroque stamps and the starfish is Viva Decor. If I had to do it again I would probably leaf out the starfish. The sentiment is saying: Wishing you strength. xoxoxo

Quinn flourish

Op deze kaart maar 1 stempel gebruikt, alleen voor de tekst (StampingBack)maar in plaats daarvan mijn Cuttlebug gebruikt :). De strookjes gekleurd cardstock er door gehaald met de Swiss dots embossingfolder en ook door de Cuttlebug de prachtige bloem van Memory Box Quinn flourish. In het midden een bloem van Wild Orchid Crafts en wat brads naast de tekst die is uitgesneden met Labels 10 van Spellbinders. Ik vind het een vrolijk en zonnig kaartje geworden. xoxoxo

On this card I've only used 1 stamp, just for the sentiment(StampingBack and it says: Happy birthday) :). The coloured cardstock has been put trough with the Swiss dots embossingfolder and I also cuttlebugged (is that a word?)the beautiful flower of Memory Box Quinn flourish. In the middle a flower of Wild Orchid Crafts and some brads next to the sentiment which was cut out with labels 10 of Spellbinders. I think it's a sunny and happy card. xoxoxo
