Card for Jen

Deze week vragen ze bij LIM een kaartje te maken voor 1 van de jarige leden van het designteam nml. Jen. Jen zegt dat als ze voor zichzelf een kaart zou maken er waarschijnlijk een kat, vlinder of vissen op zouden staan. Ik heb gekozen voor de vlinder, die ik heb gekleurd door verschillende tinten Distress inkt en water op een sheet te doen en dat te mengen. Vervolgens heb ik swirls op de vleugels gemaakt met gouden embossingpoeder en stempels van Marianne Design. De vlinder zelf is een stans van Clearly Besotted. De vierkantjes zijn gemaakt met een stans van Nellie Snellen en dp van DCWV Linen Closet. Langs het craftpapier heb ik aan twee kanten een gaatjeslijn geprikt. De tekststempel is van Darkroom door. Ik hoop dat deze kaart CAS genoeg is voor Jen want zij is er echt een ster in. xoxoxo

This week at lIM the challenge to make a birthday card for Jen. Jen tells us that if she would make a card for herself it would probably contain cats, butterflies or fish. I chose the butterfly, which I coloured by mixing Distress ink with water and diecut it with a Clearly Besotted die. On the wings I stamped with Versamark and a swirl stamp from Marianne Design. Filled it up with gold embossingpowder. The little squares are made with a die from Nellie Snellen and dp is DCWV Linen Closet. Along the sides of the craftpaper I pierced some holes. The sentiment is Darkroom door. I hope this card is CAS enough for Jen because she really is the 'Queen of Clean'. xoxoxo

Huwelijkskaart/Wedding card

Volgende week vrijdag trouwt er een vriend van mijn man dus daar moest natuurlijk een kaartje voor gemaakt worden. De uitnodiging was paars met zilver dus besloot ik om het ook bij die kleuren te houden, ze vinden dat tenslotte mooi. De boom is geëmbossed (Kanban) met zilver embossingpoeder, het bruidspaar en de tekst (beide Inkadinkado) is gestempeld met Memento grape jelly. De jurk van de bruid nog wit gekleurd met een Derwent potlood en wat strass steentjes in de boom. De rand rondom het paarse cardstock is zilver maar dat is erg moeilijk te fotograferen. Rondom het paarse cardstock heb ik tenslotte nog gesponst met zilverkleurig inkt om de overgang wat zachter te maken. xoxoxo

Friday next week a friend of my husband is getting married, so a card had to be made. The invitation was purple with silver so I decided to make the card in the same colours as they seem to like that. The tree (Kanban) is embossed with silver powder, the bride and groom and the sentiment(Inkadinkado) are stamped in Memento grape jelly. The wedding dress is coloured white with a Derwent pencil and I put some rhine stones in the tree. The border around the purple cardstock is silver but it's very difficult to photograph that. To finish I put some silver ink on the cardstock around the edges to make it a bit more soft. xoxoxo

Tiener/Teenager

Met dit kaartje wil ik meedoen aan de challenge bij Addicted to CAS. Ik heb een vrouwelijke en een mannelijke versie gemaakt. Het idee komt van Pinterest en het is een hele leuke manier om je kleine stukjes cardstock die je overhebt op te maken. De cirkels zijn allemaal gemaakt met ponsen van Marvy. De vlinderpons is van EK Success en de pons in de mannelijke versie is een oude hoekpons die ik al eeuwen in mijn bezit heb. De uitgeponste vierkantjes heb ik terug laten komen in de cirkels. Als laatste heb ik bij de meidenversie de hoekjes afgerond met een pons zodat het geheel wat ronder en vrouwelijker oogt. xoxoxo

With this card I want to participate in the Addicted to CAS challenge. I've made a male and a female version. The idea I got from Pinterest and it's a great way to use up all your scrap leftovers. Circles have been punched out with a Marvy punch. Butterfly is a punch from EK Success and the cornerpunch in the male version I've had for ages. The little squares that came out of the cornerpunch I've put in the circles so it looks more playfull. Last I rounded the corners of the girl version for a round and more feminine look. xoxoxo

Hexagons

Dit kaartje gemaakt voor de uitdaging bij LIM, hexagons. De hexagons (BoBunny) zijn bij mij maar subtiel aanwezig, nml. als achtergrond. Het paneel eerst gekleurd met verschillende kleuren Distress inkt en daarna heel licht de hexagons erop gestempeld. De bloem van Joy daarna met witte embossingpoeder ge-embossed. In het hartje van de bloemen zitten hele kleine minipareltjes. Het 'Van harte' is een stans van Marianne Design. xoxoxo

This card is made for the challenge at LIM's, hexagons. The hexagons (BoBunny) are only subtle existing in the background. The panel is first coloured with many different colours of Distress ink and then I so softly stamped the hexagons. The flower of Joy is embossed with white powder. In the heart of the flower are tiny pearls. The sentiment 'Congrats' is Marianne Design. xoxoxo

You are

Vrijdag kreeg ik mijn bestelling binnen uit Engeland van Clearly Besotted. Wat heerlijk is dat toch als je nieuwe spulletjes uit kan pakken ;). Eén van de stempelsets die ik had besteld heet 'You are' en die heb ik gebruikt voor deze kaart. Het idee voor deze kaart komt van Pinterest, ongelooflijk hoeveel inspiratie je daar vanaf kan halen. Het vlindertje is ook van CB en de langwerpige parel is uit mijn voorraad. Ik heb alles gestempeld met Cat-eye inkt. Aangezien ik alleen maar stempels van CB heb gebruikt laat ik ook deze meedoen met de challenge. xoxoxo

Last Friday I received my order from Clearly Besotted. Can't tell you how good it feels to unwrap new goodies ;). One of the stamp sets I ordered is called 'You are' and I've used it for this card. The idea for this card came from Pinterest, which is an inexhaustible source of inspiration. The butterfly stamp is also CB and the elongated pearl is from my stash. I stamped everything with Cat-eye ink. Because I've used all stamps of CB I enter this card in the challenge too. xoxoxo

CBS alles mag/ CBS anything goes

Stephanie van Clearly Besotted Stamps is gestart met haar allereerste challenge, en alles mag. Natuurlijk doe ik daar aan mee want je kan maar liefst 5 stempelsets! naar keuze winnen en bovendien ben ik gek op deze prachtige stempels. Voor deze kaart heb ik de zonnebloem gebruikt van Blooming Marvellous. De achtergrond is een stempel van BoBunny en heb ik pas voor mijn verjaardag gekregen :). De tekst is van Mandy Stempels. Alles is verhoogd opgeplakt, inclusief het witte cardstock, maar dat kun je niet goed zien. xoxoxo

Of course I want to participate in this challenge, I love those stamps and you can win 5 stampsets of your choice! For this card I've used the sunflower of Blooming Marvellous. The background is a BoBunny stamp and I recently got that for my birthday :). Sentiment is Mandy Stamps and says: Have a wonderful day. Everything is raised up, including the white cardstock, but it's hard to see. xoxoxo

Oeps... te laat/Oops... too late

'Need for speed' is het thema bij LIM deze week en 1 laag. Nou als deze schildpad geen snelheid nodig heeft weet ik het ook niet meer, veel te laat als hij is met het bezorgen van dit kaartje, maar met die lieve glimlach op zijn gezicht vergeef je 't hem meteen natuurlijk. De stempel is van Whipper Snapper en is ingekleurd met copics. De tekst is van Stamping Back. De hoekjes zijn gemaakt met een hoekpons van EK Success. Het cardstock (Coredinations whitewash collection) is zachtgroen van buiten en behoorlijk groen van binnen waardoor de hoekjes extra opvallen.
Iedereen heel hartelijk bedankt voor de reacties op mijn vorige blogpost en het touwtje. In plaats van het touwtje weg te halen heb ik er één bij gedaan en ik ben er nu meer tevreden over, voor mijn gevoel is het nu beter in balans. xoxoxo

'Need for speed' is the theme at LIM this week and one-layer. This turtle is desperately in need for speed, way too late as he is with delivering this card, but he has such a cute smile you will forgive him immediately of course. Stamp is Whipper Snapper and is coloured with copics. Sentiment is Stamping Back. Corners are a punch from EK Success. The cardstock (Coredinations whitewash collection) is pastel green on the outside but pretty green on the inside so the corners really stand out.
I like to thank everybody for the comments on my last blogpost and the string. In stead of cutting it away I added one and now I'm more pleased with it, I feel it's more in balance now. xoxoxo

Cirkels/Circles

Bij Addicted to CAS hebben ze een challenge waarbij je cirkels moet gebruiken, dat leek me een goede gelegenheid om mijn nieuwe Woodware stempel te gebruiken. De stempel is ingekleurd met Derwent potloden en daarna heb ik er hier en daar wat parels opgeplakt. De tekst is van Joy. Nu ik het zo terugzie heb ik mijn twijfels over het touwtje met strik, het was misschien toch mooier geweest zonder. xoxoxo

At Addicted to CAS there's a circle challenge running, it seemed a good excuse to use my brand new Woodware stamp. The image is coloured with Derwent pencils and then I put some pearls here and there. Sentiment is Joy's and says: Congratulations. Now that I see it on the screen I think it would have been better if I had left the little string where it was, in my stash. Perhaps without it, it is more beautiful. xoxoxo

Voordeur!/Front door!

Nooit gedacht dat ik een kaart zou maken geinspireerd op mijn voordeur ;), maar bij LIM kom ik altijd voor verassingen te staan. Ik heb niet alleen de kleur van mijn voordeur overgenomen (wit) maar ook een beetje de layout gebaseerd op de panelen van mijn deur. Alle panelen zijn verhoogd opgeplakt, en de linkse heb ik geëmbossed. De bloemenstempel is van Joy en ingekleurd met Memento stempelstiften. Het kleine 'Hello' is van Clearly Besotted Stamps en vond ik wel goed bij een voordeur passen. xoxoxo

Never thought I would make a card inspired by my front door ;), but LIM always knows how to surprise me. I didn't only use the coulour of the door (white) but also based the layout of the card a bit on the panels of the door. All panels are a bit raised and the ones on the left are embossed. The flower stamp is Joy and is coloured in with Memento ink markers. The little 'Hello' is Clearly Besotted Stamps and I think that it suits a front door. xoxoxo
